Paul H. Griswold

Since 2005, Paul has served as President and CEO for both Ontario & Trumansburg Telephone Companies (OTTC) and Finger Lakes Technologies Group, Inc. in Central New York State.  Both companies have been owned and operated by the Griswold family for over 97 years and 5 generations. 

Paul Griswold served as President and CEO of Finger Lakes Technologies Group, Inc., until 2017, when he initiated the acquisition of FLTG to FirstLight. FLTG was formed in 1995 in order to offer deregulated telecommunications services. FLTG owns the largest privately held fiber network in Upstate NY. The fiber network encompasses over 2,500 miles and connects 50 different cities in Upstate NY. FLTG’s co-location facility resides at the former Seneca Army Depot in Romulus, NY. The property encompasses 800 acres and contains 64 Nuclear Warhead Bunkers, secured by triple barbwire fences.  FLTG is also one of the largest Cisco partners in Upstate NY, earning one the highest Cisco certifications – CMSP (Cisco Master Service Provider).  

Following the acquisition of FLTG by FirstLight, Paul served as President of Advanced Technologies, and Executive VP until 2020. Paul currently serves as the President and CEO of Ontario and Trumansburg Telephone Companies and Upstate Fiber Networks (a division of OTTC).  

Paul studied Marketing at the Rochester Institute of Technology and has completed graduate work at the University of Kansas School of Telecommunications.   

Paul began his career in the telecom industry working for Rochester Telephone’s subsidiary, RCI Long Distance, in 1985. Paul began his career with Ontario & Trumansburg Telephone in March of 1987.    

Paul is very active in industry associations, and community and business organizations. Paul chaired the New York State Telecommunications Association’s (NYSTA) MIS Committee and spearheaded the establishment of both NYSTA’s video conferencing network and its Local Area Network. He has also been active on NYSTA’s Customer Services, Government Affairs and Inter-Company Operations Committees. In 2008, Paul was elected to the Board of Directors for NYSTA and became Chairman in June of 2016.

Paul and his wife Julie reside in Victor with their two children, Brenden and Ashley. Paul and Julie became proud grandparents in 2017, 2019. Paul enjoys golf, camping, scuba diving and spending quiet times with his family. Paul also loves to read about and experiment with the latest and greatest technologies, habits that have earned him the nickname “Gadget Man.”
